R-banded Cat chromosomes
set up according to Hsu et al. (1965),
there is also shown the telomer bands.
As compared to mink there is no telomere sequences in the centromere region, and
none of the chromosomes have very strong telomer band.
Chromosome No 14 have the N-band (nucleolar organizer) on the p-arm, in the R-banded chromosomes this
region stains very little.
